Use PostMy.Social to prepare your article, then follow this guide to add it to your Shopify blog.
Before you begin
You need access to your Shopify admin and a finished article that you have reviewed in PostMy.Social. Check product facts, prices, links and image rights before publishing. Keep your Shopify password and API credentials private. You do not need to send us either to follow this guide.
1. Review your article in PostMy.Social
Open your article from Content or Calendar. Read the full article, make any corrections and save your changes. Copy the title and article text. Keep the featured image and its descriptive alternative text ready separately. Copying text does not transfer images automatically.
2. Create a hidden Shopify draft
In Shopify admin, open Content → Blog posts → Add blog post. Paste your title and article into the editor. Choose the destination blog and an available author. Leave visibility set to Hidden while you review, then save.
3. Finish the presentation
Add your image, a short excerpt and relevant tags. Check headings, lists and links after pasting. Review the search engine listing, including the page title, description and URL. Preview the article before making it visible.
4. Publish when ready
Choose Visible to publish, or select a future visibility date and time, then save. Check your store’s time zone before scheduling. Open the public article after publication and confirm its appearance and links.
5. Coordinate your social posts
Use the real, published article URL in your social drafts. Review each channel’s copy and image before scheduling. A date entered in PostMy.Social does not schedule this manually copied Shopify article. Keep the two calendars aligned yourself until automatic integration is available.
Preparing for automatic connection
Keep your store’s .myshopify.com address and preferred destination blog handy. Your public website address can be different from your Shopify store address. We will update this guide with the tested installation steps when the connector is available. Connecting a store will not itself authorise publishing.
